Baked Meatballs

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten to blend
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. prepared spaghetti sauce
Preheat oven to 350.

Mix together first 6 ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Oil hands. Form meat into 1-inch balls. Place in your meatball baking dish.

Bake until cooked through, about 30 minutes. Heat sauce in heavy saucepan. Add meatballs and toss to coat. Serve immediately. Use for spaghetti and-or for meatball sandwiches. Makes about 30 meatballs.   

Using a roasting pan with a special 3 deep well rack to hold meatballs in place while baking.

All the fat drains into the baker so meatballs are delicious and healthier.
