Terra Cotta
Terra cotta is a glazed or unglazed fired clay used for statuettes. vases and cookware.
It has been used for thousands of years and is still considered one of the best materials
available for modern bakeware. In a natural state, terra cotta is usually a brownish-orange
in color.
For bake ware, it is one of the oldest known vessels for preparing food. Today terra
cotta bakeware is still considered one of the best ways to prepare nutritious meals
because little or no additional liquid is necessary. That means essential vitamins and
nutrients from the foods being cooked will be retained, not watered down and thrown away.
Clay cooking pots are also a delightful way to prepare an entire meal in one convenient
dish. This means less clean-up time is needed.
We offer terra cotta bakeware
by Romertopf in unglazed finishes.
